25 1.6 Installation instructions • for stations with 3-way valve fitted: Heat transfer stations that are equipped with a 3-way valve offer two options for connection to the building system. The mixed heating circuit in the standard version is located in the connection position at the bottom. The constant heating circuit, which can be used to connect a water heater, is located in the connection position at the top. This results in two mounting variants: Mounting variant 1 The return cooling of the flow rate of the domestic water heating (DWH) is in parallel charging mode. The advantage of this connection variant is the partial or complete use of the return temperature, which is increased before the end of charging of the coil storage tank, for heating the room. This means you prevent an unnecessary increase in the return temperature at the same time. Please note: If this additional cooling takes place for the most part through a panel heating system (HTG), the actual return temperature of the domestic water heating is often significantly higher than the setpoint of the panel heating circuit. In individual cases, this can cause the safety temperature monitor in the panel heating circuit to trip. In this case, mounting variant 2 (see below) is recommended. Mounting variant 2 With this installation variant, there is no additional return cooling of the flow rate of the domestic water heating. In order to avoid the aforementioned consequences, the building system must be mounted offset. In this case, the flow connection of the coil storage tank must be connected at the top and the return connection at the bottom. Accordingly, the flow of the heating circuit is to be mounted at the bottom and the return at the top.
